How to add it

  1. Find it

In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for “Passlane”, or use the button above.

  2. Add it

No account. Passlane knows you only by an anonymous ID that ChatGPT provides, so your progress follows you between chats.

  3. Practice

Say which state and what you want: a mock test, a practice set, road signs, or your missed questions.

Things to say

  • Give me a California DMV permit practice test
  • Quiz me on road signs for the Texas permit test
  • 10 practice questions for the New York permit test
  • Retake the questions I missed
  • Am I ready for my Florida permit test?
Can ChatGPT see the answers?
Not while a test is running. Passlane grades each answer on its server and sends ChatGPT the explanation only for questions you have already answered.
Is the clock the real time limit?
No state publishes a time limit for the knowledge test. Passlane gives a mock test one minute a question so you practice at a steady pace.
What does Passlane keep about me?
Your tests, answers and scores under an anonymous ChatGPT ID, so you can see progress and retake misses. Say “Delete my Passlane data” to remove them. Details in the privacy policy.
Does Voice work?
Passlane is built for typing and tapping in the card. Voice may not open it reliably yet; name the app if you try.
