Common questions

How do I start? In ChatGPT, say "Give me a California DMV permit practice test" (or Texas, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania). Other things to try: "10 practice questions for the Texas permit test", "Quiz me on road signs", "Retake the questions I missed", "How am I doing?".

The card says my session has expired. Ask ChatGPT to open Passlane again (for example "Show my Passlane progress"); the new card works.

ChatGPT didn't open Passlane. Name the app: "Use Passlane to start a New York permit practice test." Voice may not open it reliably yet; typing works best.

Is the clock the real time limit? No state publishes one. Passlane's mock test gives one minute a question.

I think an answer is wrong. Every answer shows the handbook section and page it comes from. If the handbook says something else, email us the state and the question and we'll fix it.

Delete my data. Say "Delete my Passlane data" in ChatGPT, or email us.
